Awesomefest Poster #4
This weeks poster was designed by the amazing Jeff Rigsby. He is a graphic designer who also happens to be married to Linzi, who designed this poster. So much talent in one family!
We are drawing close to the one month mark. Make sure to pay your fees early to get the cheaper rate. Early registration also helps the theater to better know how to prepare for the event if they have a more accurate head count.
In other news, the t-shirts are going off to press at American Canvas this week. We are super excited to have them do our shirts. Keep it local! They are gorgeous, 50/50, lightweight Anvil tees. You can purchase additional shirts at a lower rate today. Extra shirts will be for sale on the day of the event for $25. They make great gifts and you are supporting the charity as well.
Finally, we are proud to have Roll and Hatfield Chiropractic on board as sponsors again this year. We couldn’t do Awesomefest without all our amazing sponsors.
Awesomefest Poster #3
This week I am happy to present the third art poster made for Awesomefest 2010. Brandon Rike is the amazing designer, who, like Linzi, is also a shirt designer. There will be another 2-3 posters unveiled in the next few weeks. All these posters will be printed up in a limited run and available for purchase on the day of the event.
In other news, B1 has donated a bunch of awesome gear. Included in the lot is a messenger bag, bike helmet, gift certificates, t-shirts and a ton of water bottles. We are honored to have their support this year.
Finally, make sure to pay your registration fees while the early bird rate is still in effect.

No news this week except that there will be BIG news next week. Until then…

I have a couple awesome bits of news. The first is that the spoke cards are finally in. If you want one you can read the previous post about the drop locations or you can email us at awesomefest2010@gmail.com with your mailing address.
The second is that Gateway Film Center is now one of our sponsors! That means not only passes and the like for the auction but also a possible new venue for future fests. Just think of it… cushy seats, big screen, popcorn. Insane.
Finally, remember you can pay your fees through the blog today to save on your fee. The early bird rate is $50. It will be $60 after August 1st. You can also pre-order extra shirts for your loved ones.
Thats all for now. See you next Friday.
“Dirty Harry” by Adonys
This week I have some outstanding news. Seagull Bags is going to donate one of their brilliant bags to the silent auction again this year. Here is the design that the masters of Seagull created for the Jaws theme last year. Don’t know about you but I can’t wait to see what they come with.
Also, I will be receiving the spoke cards any day now so hit me up if you want one. I am having 100 made and so I will leave limited quantities of 15 or so at several locations around town. You can pick them up at B1, Seagull, Cafe Brioso or Paradise Garage any time after Wednesday next week.
Have a great weekend!

This is the first of the five alternative posters being done for this years Awesomefest. Each will be printed in a limited run of 5 and will be available to purchase in the silent auction on the day of the event.
Bill, the designer, was going for a vintage feel with his design. I think he nailed it with a simple, elegant design.
We have a couple HUGE news bits. Pabst Blue Ribbon will once again be a donor. That means free beer for everyone! Not too many things are more awesome than that.
Secondly, it looks like we will get a bit of screen time of WCMH channel 4. I had a chance to talk to Rick Reitzel the other day and he is definitely interested in what we are doing. More details to come on that.
Finally, Octopus Caps will be making 15 custom caps for the auction. Several of them will be made out of last years Jaws design. So make sure to bring plenty of spending money this year. And remember, all of this is for the kids.
